Ranjit Fernando on Lasith Malinga

I got this from off from another forum... This one is a beauty though, one must agree.
Here he is... talking about Malinga

Fernando:
Yes one must understand that Malinga has a unique action.

Fernando(After 3 sentences):
Yes one must understand that Malinga has a unique action.

Fernando(After another 3 sentences):
Yes one must understand that Malinga has a peculiar action.

Fernando(After another 3 sentences):
Yes one must understand that Malinga has a intriguing action.

This is pure fiction. I challenge you to show your source.
And you should know better to correct Premasara's name on your poll. You call him Premasiri! If you got a point to prove do it in a convincing manner. Don't lie.

Like I said, it was taken from another forum, and the source (that forum) is listed. The posting was dated sometime in 2005 and, obviously I don't have a library of cricket footage to verify it.

But anyone who has listened to Ranjit's shoddy commentaries would agree that this is quite a plausible scenario. If not in a few sentences, at most within a span of few overs.

As for misspelling Premasara's name, my apologies. Thanks for pointing that out.

Apart from all other hilarious stuff, Mr.Fernando must know how to pronunce names of our players. On Monday, he repeately called Tharanga, THARANGAA as if he is refering to a girl by that name. He is a Sri Lankan and must know how ONE pronunmces local names.Mis-pronuncation by foreign commentators is another matter and in fact he must correct them too. I hope Mr.Fernando will take a cue from such personalities like Tony Greig and come up with some intersting facts, incidents or tit bits to make it intersting to the viewer, i repeat, viewer as the match is not on radio but on TV. Every one can see what's happening,so just putting in to words everything that happening on the field becomes very boring.
